Chinese level of caustic soda equipment is world advanced
On Dec 15, the 2022 Annual Technical Conference of the National caustic soda industry was held online. Zhang Wenlei, chairman of the China Chlor-alkali Industry Association, said that the domestic production capacity of caustic soda production equipment has reached 100 percent, reaching the world's advanced level.
Zhang Wenlei said that in recent years, China's production technology and equipment of caustic soda have made continuous progress, energy and resource consumption have been continuously reduced, and the comprehensive utilization rate of resources has been continuously improved. At present, all caustic soda enterprises adopt ionic membrane electrolytic process and equipment, and the most advanced membrane distance submembrane electrolytic cell has been applied in more than 90% in China, ranking in the world's first-class level.
Through industrial structure adjustment and further implementation of energy conservation and emission reduction upgrading, our comprehensive energy consumption of caustic soda unit product continues to decline. With the continuous promotion and application of domestic ionic membrane, the core auxiliary material of ionic membrane electrolysis technology, the localization capacity of caustic soda production equipment has reached 100%, and the equipment level is in the forefront of the world's advanced level. At present, the industry is strengthening research and development, application and promotion in energy saving and carbon reduction, efficient application of hydrogen energy and electrolytic solution of high-salt wastewater utilization, constantly promoting the technical progress of caustic soda industry.
